Author of The Little Nopalita
"Never give up, mija."
I didn't create The Little Nopalita from imagination alone; I created it from real life.

This story grew out of seasons and experiences that shaped me—navigating divorce and uncertainty that deepened my understanding of resilience, roots, familia, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going when life doesn't unfold the way you planned. Writing became a way to hold onto what always mattered most—love, perseverance, and the values I was raised with. It was also a way to create something honest and meaningful, grounded in lived experience. I wanted to create something meaningful not just for children, but for families who need a reminder of their own inner strength while moving through hard seasons—a reminder that growth can happen through any storm, and that strength doesn't always have to be loud to be powerful.
As a mother, my greatest hope is to show my child no matter how difficult things become, you don't give up on yourself or your dreams. The Little Nopalita is a reflection of that belief—that where you come from, what you carry, and what you overcome all matter. This work is personal, intentional, and rooted in love, perseverance, and the belief that even in life's most challenging moments, something beautiful can still grow—and what you overcome—matters.
